The next phase of the consultation process on open water swimming in lakes under the jurisdiction of the National Capital Commission (NCC) will begin on March 10. On that date the working group will meet to discuss and assess a first scenario that has been prepared by the NCC. The scenario will be based on items that were communicated by participants during the first consultation, elements that were communicated by e-mail, phone or in person in the past months by the different stakeholders, as well as legal and operational constraints imposed on the NCC.

The open water swimming community will be represented by four members of NCOWSA, as well as triathlete and swim coach Rick Hellard, owner of Zone 3 Sports. Following the session, we will report on the deliberations. Check this space after March 10 for updates.
